Historical Background

Historical BackgroundNew Horizon Boarding Secondary School, Tansen, Palpa is a Co-educational English medium school established in 2049 B.S. with the great effort of Late Mr. Lalchand Shrestha, founder president of New Horizon Secondary School Butwal. So, today, while writing few words about this school, I want to pay tribute to founder members Late Lalchand Shrestha, late Lekhnath Panday and late Hari Shrestha and due respect to all the present founder members of this school, whose contribution upon this school is unforgettable.

During the establishment of New Horizon School Butwal in 2046, managing committee had set its objective to open its branches in headquarters of 6 districts of Lumbini zone. According to the objective, New Horizon School was established in Tansen, a beautiful and historical city, of Palpa district in 2049 B.S. At that time, there was a need of quality boarding school in Tansen. So that, New Horizon School was getting a support from its people, but also we were bound to face different problems. During its 11 years tour, it had to face different challenges in order to settle down itself. At the opening period, we were able to open classes from Nursery to six and Ravi Ale was appointed as Principal. The school was running under the coordinatorship of R.C. Achrya. And in 2053 only it was registered as secondary school.

From its foundation in 2049, school has been fulfilling its responsibility to educate the children from nursery to class 10. To implement its mission "Quality Education our Commitment - Children are our future" and maintain its reputation for top quality education the school is committed to meet the academic and extra-curricular requirements of its students.
The school is now located in Tansen Municipality ward no. –5 Taksar Tole on rent, where total students are being taught in 26 class rooms. It has a computer lab, science lab and library. For the hostel purpose one house is hired on rent in Tansen-6 Basantpur tole, where nearly for 100 students hostel facility can be provided. At present school has not its own building, but it has now purchased a piece of land (nearly 11 ropanies) in order to enlarge its physical infrastructure. Recently, the school managing board has made a decision that in the near future, school will have its own building and other physical infrastructures. We all are hopeful for the effective implementation of the above decision.
